  2. Nice video! I've tried both Secret lab titan and omega at my friends' place. A few hours ago, I found myself sitting in the fd01 and the Rw series at the nearest staples. 170 pounds 5''10 ; Dx Racer has won me over with the fd01 especially if (and I say if) I can find a good price online on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Pu leather does not breath at all if you drive on any Pc Rally or race simulation.

  3. Sounds like a solid chair that this guy wants to steer you away from so he can get that commission when you spend the extra 400 on that Titan.

  4. DXRacer is a garbage company selling garbage products.

Literally a few days after my chair's warranty expired the gas cylinder failed (wouldn't hold the chair up AND leaked oil all over the floor). They told me they couldn't do anything for me. So, I bought a replacement cylinder directly from them and it failed TWO MONTHS later. I put in a ticket for replacement and they said they don't replace faulty parts. Brand new replacement parts provided by them carry no warranty. So, twice they had an opportunity to make it right AND make a customer for life and twice they told me they couldn't help me, give us more money.

Avoid DXRacer. They don't stand behind their products and they don't care.

  5. I planned to buy the Secretlab Titan but decided to go for DXRacer Sentinel S28-N because Secretlab takes too long in delivering the item. I watched your review on secretlab titan but decided I should go for DXRacer because it's almost the same except for the lumbar support.

  6. I have the DXracer Formula FH00 model. and I feel that when I am rested with my weight on chair's back, I feel that the chair wobbles to the right and left when enough power is exerted. Is that normal or perhaps I need to replace the gaslift?

    Note the following:
    – I have the back set on an upright position.
    – Locked or un-locked tilt-locks yields the same result.

    Thanks.

  8. Hello Tech Guided,

can I ask how tall you are?
I'm thinking about buying the exact same chair, but I'm scared that it's going to be too small or too big.
    Im 6'0 myself.

  9. My previous roommate had exactly this model (in a red/black color scheme). I always been an office chair guy, although I could never afford the high end ones (Herman Miller, Steelcase, etc), but I always managed to find decent office chairs at Staples with enough research. First impression, I didn't like how flat the chair was overall. Flat base, flat back. Fells very stiff and unnatural to sit on it. Of course, there is the lumbar pillow, but I found it was just sticking out too much (and I have a more pronounced back curve than usual). As stated in the video, it's either too much back support, or none at all. I also didn't like how the armrests were way too far forward; when sitting naturally, your forearms are supported but not your elbows, they're just hanging there. It also makes so that you can't have the arm rest at the proper height (i.e., matching the height of the desk) and have the chair close enough to the desk, the arm rests hit the desk before you can move it close enough to be comfortable. Pretty bad design. The chair does reclines, but the base just stay parallel to the floor unlike office chairs, which the base angle change slightly as you lean backward. It's a lot more natural for the body, but you're not getting it with this DX Racer. The back rests moves completely independently of the base.

Overall I think this chair is all form over function. It looks cool but ergonomics leaves a lot to be desired. You can get much better comfort-wise for the money. I have no experience with other gaming chair though, but considering how they're all similar in design, I decided to stick to my trusty crappy Staples chair 😛

  10. I looked at noble chairs and the silent labs stuff after my current dx racer took some abuse. I was forced to continue with dx racer because they offer mesh. Absolutely did not want leather. Who wants it sticking to your legs.

  11. Would you say it wasn't as comfortable to you because of your weight of 180 or because you are too tall for the model at 5'10?

Because im 5/10 1/2 160 and I cant decide between the formula series or the next step up the r series. Also I don't use arm rests. I like to rest my arms on my thighs while holding my controller. Is that possible with the formula or are the arm rests too narrow?

    Thanks.

  12. WOW thank you. You are literally the first person who reviewed the f series that ACTUALLY included their height and weight. Like omg seriously thank you so much. I was literally sitting over here raging because the headazzes were leaving that info out of the review. Fuck lol thank you!

  13. guys don't get this chair, I just got it this week and it's so low, 52cm compared to the 60cm standard. Other dx racer chairs go up to 69cm and more. I've had to change the 2" castor wheels to 3". Maybe if you have a slideout table under your desk it may work.
