The Epiphone DR-100 sets the standard for acoustic value with its traditional big-voiced Dreadnought shaped Mahogany body with scalloped, wide-X internal bracing for optimum resonance and volume while a glued-in set Mahogany neck adds sustain and improved acoustic tone. The DR-100 also has a Rosewood bridge and matching Rosewood fingerboard and boasts a quality, Select Spruce top, which is far superior in true acoustic tone than synthetic materials, sometimes used in entry-level acoustics. It also features Chrome hardware and a soundboard rosette.

  2. I have one that's about ten years old, sounds great. I didn't need a setup or anything, played great right out of the box with nice low action. I've even been putting 13's on it the last couple years and no troubles. It's pretty unusual to get a new guitar and not need to get a setup done.

  3. I've not played the guitar for about 5 years. I started with acoustic but I can't find the brand because it's worn out.

I really need a new hobby and I thought I should pick up the guitar again. I want to start off with an acoustic and eventually move towards an electric, maybe a Flying V but I'm stuck between what acoustic I should restart with. This one seems pretty cheap, would it be good to begin again with? Does it sound decent and not like a flimsy piece of shit overall?

  4. I love the DR100. i was at a music shop the other day it had gibsons, martins, takamines, tanglewood, nashville etc. i tried most of them but one that really got my attention was this guitar and it was reasonably priced( 150 EURO) as opposed to the next cheapest which was 799 euro and you may think its just because its cheap that i looked it but honestly it was playable, great tone and feel and its just a great guitar which i cant wait to buy soon
