  1. That 960 is such a beast! I remember considering it a lot. The 1060 is also a beast! Nvidia, you used to make such good budget cards, what's with all the high end cards you keep releasing?

  6. I had this gpu for 5 years now, the 2Gb version. For me is the perfect gpu, in these years I've been playing some variety of games ranging from a bit of Far Cry 4, to 850h of csgo, 500 on tf2 and recently Overwatch in 1440p above 85fps to benefit from my 75Hz screen. Nothing to say about it, it has been beautiful, veeeery silent and cool, I chose a custom fan profile that ramped up only when reaching high temps and I never got above 75 with it still being quite (other components set the noise much higher, so I couldn't really hear it at all). For esports gaming it' more than enough, and it's worth mentioning that lately I've been into streaming (especially ow) and I've been able to upload a crisp 720p60fps with 6000kbs of upload (thanks to my connection, but the graphics card handled it really well) with no dropped frames after a lot of tweaking in obs and in ow (capping the frames to 85 in order to let some room for obs to use resources as I used Nvec as the decoder).
Conclusions, if you don't set you standards too high, you're a "retro" or not so up to date gamer (csgo and tf2 are pretty old now), I should highly recommend this gpu, if you can find a bargain on it consider purchasing, it's well rounded. As you said the 4gb version should keep up a bit better with new games but I personally never tried. Hope I helped someone that was struggling to make a choice, have a nice one 🙂

  8. I wish prices now were how they were then. I would throw down for a 960 to toss in a pc for my brother at that price! Crazy how much things have changed over just a few months.
