NOTE: I am really surprised by how many people chose camera A and had opposite comments on color compared to me. This just proves that everyone’s eyes and preference are a different and of course it also depends on what screen your viewing the video on. The results speak for themselves though, and the large majority overall consensus is Camera A’s color science is better then cameras B’s. Wow!

  2. I preferred the colours that the Sony produced. I expected to prefer the Fuji. In other videos, the Fuji took better photos. It may have something to do with the lenses that were used.

  3. I actually own the A6500 and XT3..I find the sony default (cine 2/slog2 with Stil or 709) has nicer highlight roll-off and a more neutral look, but I use Davinci Transform for SLOG2/FLOG/HLG. Smaller camera with better exposure and white balance control. Worse rolling shutter. XT-3 FLOG, again Davinci, 10-bit more color detail (my old dog's fur) and just so nice when playing with the files. Less rolling shutter for sure. Fuji film has nicer profile "looks" out of the camera, but they tend to limit the high-light roll off and I prefer a neutral/natural image out of the camera. Adjust in post with FUJI LUT from company. Davinci 17 (Free) makes SLOG2/ITG709 or FLOG/2020 much easier.

PS>Replacing the Sony color space with a smaller 709/still/movie/etc. (DSL video Shooter/Caleb) color space is a game-changer, the saturation is bumped up in-camera, making framing and exposure easier in camera and the autofocus seems to work better as well. Plus the 8-bit file doesn't have to be pushed as much in post to correct, since it looks closer to neutral out of camera, so it doesn't fall apart as easily.

  4. Here I prefer Sony but I choose Fujifilm not for the standard profile jpeg but for Classic Chrome, Pro Neg and B&W film simulation jpegs

  5. I went all A. Before I see the reveal, I know A was probably oversaturated a little, but B looked like it almost had a green hue. The differences are tiny either way though

  6. thats what profiles and adjustments are for to get the best out of your camera. you have all you need in your hand and can change settings on your own opinion). this comparision is kind of a joke and simply a video for the mission to make content.
Its profile a against b? wait what? ill show you mine on each camera. quits…

  7. I knew sony was A. before you showed the videos you already mentioned that sony aims to get less realistic. The A videos looks saturated , and videos B looks natural. Plus Fuji claims that they have better rolling shutter and indeed it obviously does better than sony's rolling shutter. I noticed some jelo effect on sony videos.
